Yoga
"Centering, stretching, strengthening, balancing... Sarah addresses it all, and she knows every nuance to call your attention to with each pose so that you get the most from it, and all kinds of ways of using props to help you get even more out of the practice. Plus modifications for anyone who is having knee trouble or back trouble or wrist trouble or whatever. Her attention to detail, and her attentiveness to what each individual student needs -- even in a large class -- is amazing. And woven in amongst all that, a gentle observation here and there inviting us to see that yoga is not just what we do on the mat, yoga is life, and what we learn on the mat we can draw upon in all kinds of situations."
Catherine Sophian "It is always clear to me that study and thought have gone into each of Sarah's classes. She oxymoronically shares a class that is structured and thematic, yet loose, playful and fun. Sarah's natural and resounding voice, coupled with her knowledge and experiences of things yogic, instills confidence in her students. Rearrange your schedules......Her classes are not to be missed!" Kehau Yong "I have studied yoga and Pilates off and on for over 30 years and have had many fine teachers. In my opinion, Sarah is very experienced and dedicated to yoga practice and to her students. While teaching a large class, she still asks for input and individualizes where appropriate. As a student of hers, I can testify her teaching is more “yoga therapy” combining Pilates, stretches, and balance exercises which strengthen and lengthen our muscles. Every class is different, fun and motivating. When I leave her class I feel more relaxed and calm…a tribute to a great teacher!!" Loretta Ilalaole "Thank you for your generosity in turning class in to a private session. Your insight and instruction were of great benefit to me. May the blessing be returned to you a thousand fold. Namaste." Padmani Brown |
Music Lessons
"Our daughter is always so excited for her lesson with Ms. Sarah! Ms. Sarah is very positive and encouraging as a teacher and knows how to make the lessons fun. Although our daughter has only been playing piano for a few months she already has written her own song, plays songs from memory and remembers to practice every night."
